Dear NEW Community,

You might have seen us and heard from us, we are the *L.A.A.F* also known as the Liberation Army Against Freedom. The past period we have been playing quite some on NEW, some members have played a lot even before the Liberation Army was set-up. Most of our members have 3 to 4 years experience in PR.

To intensify and improve our relationship with NEW and their allies we would like to have an alliance. We enjoy the teamwork on NEW, although it has been better in "the good old days", NEW is one of the best servers around, if not the best. Their player base is better than any player base.

Our group consists out of grunts, veterans and other kinds of people. We tend to enjoy anything in PR, from infantry to armor, from armor to jets, we like it. Alongside we like to have a high standard of teamwork and we don't mind enforcing it. Enforcing it on any team or map. We don't mind playing as OPFOR.

Since it is now summer and most of us have jobs we are not always capable of seeding the server early. But any other time of the year we are capable of seeding and being active more than now, we are now having our "summer-schedule". It means that there are no mandatory gaming nights.

When it comes down to recruitment, yes we do recruit, but in a different way than other groups. More behind the scenes recruiting.

Currently NEW ERA WARFARE is not interessted in an Alliance with LAAF.

Here for we had many reasons but main reason is flaming and taunting other Players..

Dont get me wrong you guys are good teamplayers but we expect more kindness from our Aliies.

Some other points:

There were two occasions were LAAF (I'm not sure if you, Pronck, were present) missused their switch rights to switch to the winning side (and BLUE) WHILE I stated that we are discussing balancing Issues right now and wanted the clans (especially those with SWITCHRIGHTS) to hold till we found a conclusion. When I asked kindly to switch back I got told "we are already set up here, we will not switch. We got raped two times in a row and wont to win now too". I had a good day and wanted to play too, so I ditched the drama and kept on playing. Other Admins would have been harder.

Also we do NOT like guests on our server cursing in team/allchat or in mumble to other players or "warn" players. This is ADMINS work. I dont want to keep on spamming the chat with "if someone disrespects the rules, use the !r function and let the admins handle it".

Plus one of your guys (ab101) crossed a line when he teamkilled a smurf which was teamkilling with his grenade launcher. This was selfjustice and we DO NOT tolerate this. I told him instantly in mumble that he will get banned the second I see this happening again. The idiot teamkilling with the grenadelauncher got warned and tempbanned for his actions. I know I needed ~2 minutes to react to the report but I was also playing and managing other reports.

It is not like you and your mates do this "all the time", its quite the opposite actually. But you were told that we will be watching you guys with even more care because of the application.

Dont get me/us wrong. We appreciate you guys playing with us. You are very capable gameplay wise and (most of the time ;) nice to play with and talk to. Also, I really appreciate you, Pronck, stepping up to command a team when a CO is needed.

But for an "alliance" we expect much more! We still hope to see you around!

Thank you for the feedback. Luckily you guys took the effort to describe the cases. They will be taken care of internally.

I will now explain my point of view on the cases, so you get both sides of the stories.

The case of the grenadier, we had to kill him to defend ourselves, not as self justice. But we try to not do this again, however all my members have the right to defend themselves however their defense must be proportional to the hostilities against them.

The case of McUncool. He had a much needed supply truck, our team was begging for firebases. He took it, rushed into West Beach despite I asked both in mumble and chat not to waste it.

Since he was not braking the rules at that time I did not report him, therefore I asked it personally not to waste it, using social control. When we did report him, he called out that we reported him falsely. While he drove the much needed supply truck into West Beach, a flag with a marker on it and it wasn't clarified as "clear". He reported me falsely causing a shitstorm, I was at the phone at the time so I couldn't react fast on the case.

In these cases, if you report them that they are about to break the rules too often it is not taken care of nor appreciated. Since I have 5 to 6 years experience in PR, I decided it was time to ask him not to do it instead of reporting with the risk that it would be too late if he got warned. There were plenty of times in my PR career that assets would be wasted despite reports that somebody was about to waste something and in the end the SL of the squad that claimed the asset would be blamed.

We can sort this out by using the report function, but please take these report seriously then since a lack of logistics will break up a team in PR.

About the switching, if it was on a Insurgency map, send me a PM with all the details so we can handle it. I believe I have already talked with an admin about the switching on Bijar Canyons. I have warned my members for switching already, telling them that abusing switch rights is frowned upon. Especially on insurgency.

Those reports are taken care of. A reported incoming baserape for example will result in a warning for that player, while a happened baserape is a kick/tb. In that logi case I, as an admin had NO WAY of knowing: did his SL order him to drive that logi? Are they building a fob on the top left corner or is he driving to the uncappable flag and wasting it?

We have no rule against "being dumb" or "not being experienced enough". As soon as it was clear that he left the logi on the flag without doing anything with it he got warned to not do such a stupid thing again. He got kicked only because of his participation in the flamewar that happened in the team/allchat.

Anyhow, the "Jabal case" is closed for me. Mcuncool and his mighty knights will get a tb the next time they behave the way they did again and after that it be heading in the direction of a ban.
