Muttrah: Teams were balanced but I think there was a lack of coordination on US side.
la Drang: Was fun for a Vietnam map with balanced teams.
Saaremaa:
-NEW, KSK, 3dac and some ARC* guys on US side with better weapons VS 1 WGP/QRF SQ and publics... (KIA left when they lost CAS and APC)
-38 VS 54??? how could more than 50 play on your side for more than 20min?
Bijar: was ok
Kashan: It was too late with too many publics for this asset map
All in all I agree with Rage that we need CO for the 3 maps to increase the teamwork and Admins on both sides.
We can try a PW but I'm not sure that we get enough people on the Server...

Re: Joint Forces Teamworkday Discussion / Feedback
I say, let's try it out one or two times, it doesn't hurt that much ;). If it doesn't work out, we really know it and all you realists/pessimists can say "see, told you"
I would suggest to promote it a little bit in the >realitymod/event< section. State, that we are trying to give it a different approach in setting a password to welcome only true teamplayers and to force teamplay, coordination and discipline (: In addition to that, state that the admins will restricitvely kick any players, who will not subordinate to the rules of this JFT day.
Furthermore I would suggest to make an extra threat here in the new forum only for the password and again inform everyone what is important to know about the JFT day. You could also refer to the NEW forum on the server headline, that day.
About the lacking of commanders...I think, we will find more players to do the commander, when there's a player base, that you can really work with.

Re: Joint Forces Teamworkday Discussion / Feedback
I suggest to move the password-test to next week because this week we have to assure that we have a full server untill the last map for obvious reason. Further we have to promote it more and we can already promote it while this weeks JFT.

Re: Joint Forces Teamworkday Discussion / Feedback
I am currently and honestly for no password at all, even if I might be the only one right now.
But why am I for having no PW? Because even the public players get used to awesome teamplay then, and join the JFTD more often and maybe get also active in the forums. We want to attract players playing PR with more teamwork. If we exclude the unaware people right away, they will hardly find their way to the community, as they dont know the password and don't know what kind of awesome teamplay is going on.
If the "JFTW communities" (you), join straight at the beginning during the seeding stage, and also with being on the reserved slot list, there should be no reason for you to not be able to join the server aswell.
The more teamwork players we motivate to play with us, the better right?
And the non-teamplayers get sorted out by our awesome admin crew anyway?
So where is the problem without a password? Maybe you can understand where I am coming from.
Convincing arguments are appreciated!

Re: Joint Forces Teamworkday Discussion / Feedback
You got a valid point there. What we could do is simply split up to form more squads on both sides, and with "we" Im not only talking about [new] but all participating Communitys. I already tried leading a squad a few times on JFT and, while not totally successfull, it was fun!K4on hat geschrieben:If we exclude the unaware people right away, they will hardly find their way to the community, as they dont know the password and don't know what kind of awesome teamplay is going on.
What is not fun is being blamed for loosing too many tickets. Ofc the 5 nonamers will not be as good as regular players and of course will my decisions as a SL not be as good as the ones of a experienced SL. A good commander can regulate this by advising squads on what to do, veteran squadleaders can do this aswell by advising new ones (as myself).
I know it is fun to play in $your_favourite_SL's squad with all the known Pappenheimer (roughly transaltes to "mates" ;), and I would do this 24/7 if I could. But instead of playing as a 6+ Clan squad we should simply split up (in this case in 2 3+ squads) and show the "nonames" how its supposed to be on JFT (and every other public day, but thats daydreaming

Its either password the server and enjoy 20vs20 through the night or split up and show the world what realism and teamplay means.
Another point: it starts to realy bug me that everytime a squad/clan ragequites/has to go, the blaming game about teambalance starts immediately. Its not the admins who are the cause of this (temporarily) unbalanceness, but people who leave early. But most of the time they cant be blamed either, because sometimes there are more important things to do than playing pr. Because of this STOP whining and bitching 2 seconds after the game is 40 vs 51. Ofc it sucks but nearly no squad is willing to swap teams IN THE MIDDLE of a gaming session. And even if you do this, the switched players are, unwillingly, ghosting. And this sucks even more, for them and the game.
My 2 cents.

Re: Joint Forces Teamworkday Discussion / Feedback
I see a few recurring problems:
1. We need CO on each side every map (6 CO each JFTD)
2. Balance: There is always 1 KSK, 1-2 NEW, 1 WGP, 1 3dac/ARC, 1 BCG/PRTA, 1 FH squad + other clans and pubs. This 6-7 SQ should be devided in 3 vs 3 plus pubs and not like last time on Saaremaa 5 vs 1-2.
3. Admins who are SQL on both sides. Perhaps small admin rights to the "aproved" clans/communitys.
4. Post the Maps/Rules every thusday on the PR Forum and invite more teamplaying clans.
If we solve this problems we wont need a PW

Re: Joint Forces Teamworkday Discussion / Feedback
I think you all make very good points against a password. From including new players to a nice teamwork based evening, splitting experienced players up into more squads, having a closer look onto teambalance before the round starts and trying to have 6 Commanders for the evening!
I want to welcome all players, but only those, who really want to play teamwork orientated.
That's what the password should be for. To set something like a little gate before anybody joins the JFT day server. I just want everybody to be aware, that this is not a normal public day and that there are strict rules for this evening. If they are interested, they can search a little bit for the password and maybe they feel like taking part one something special, that is not the ordinary. That would be a positive effect, also for "normal publics" ;)
If the password really excludes anybody/or "new" players, then I'm really sorry, but there a 6 other days of the week without any password...
BUt maybe it was all holidays fault, that the last 2 JFT days disappointed me...that's why I'm really looking forward to todays JFT day

Re: Joint Forces Teamworkday Discussion / Feedback
With the server license change it is no longer allowed to have the password in the server name, making public events with pw pretty pointless.
I would have liked to see something like "NEW Joint Forces | pw: Teamwork" or something, but this is not possible anymore.
Maybe add scrolling rules ingame and change the box that shows up during loading times to make people aware.

? - we are not changing any server side settings, requiring a pw?
