Suggestion for next week (09-17):
Muttrah (choose layer)
Dragon Fly Ins Inf
Burning Sands (choose layer)
Muttrah acts as a server filler.
Dragon Fly Ins is pretty enjoyable. Insurgents on this map are able to fight back as an organized squad because of proper kits and cover in this map and Inf layer is chosen because heavy assets drains too much British tickets.
Burning Sands is pretty enjoyable to stay for another round.

Re: Joint Operations Map Discussion
Well dude, amazing how you even strenghten my point - our Team sucked because we had one squad building 3 fobs (mine..) and 2 other 4 ppl pubbie squads basically doing nothing but getting raped in as soon as you arrived with 2 coordinated duck squads.Friado hat geschrieben:Well that is bullshit. We built 2 fobs before we walked to towards your flag. Not even close to rush. The problem was that you guys didn't organize your squads and didn't even try seriously. We only killed you all so easily because you were all spread out and we had squads working together. Maybe its that mentality you shouldn't "tryhard" when server is seeding and stuff. We didn't even push to your last flag because we didn't want the map to end[KSK]Eichhoernsche hat geschrieben:Next Week:

I was pretty pissed at Asad Khal.
I started building FOBs around our 1st white flag because we had about 15 active people on our side (3 KSKs, maybe 6 NEWs and some publics) in the beginning asI thought we're starting slow to seed the server.
I thought that the other team (15 ducks + x, including admins ) will think the same way - Well, I was completely wrong and faced 2 duck squads after building my 2nd FOB. There was no "real" other squad to fight them until more people arrived and so we we're heavily steamrolled in the beginning. (KD: 1:50)
I'm pretty sure that this won't happen next time again. If I see 15 people from one clan stacking on one side having only 40 ppl on the server:
- I will DEMAND everybody to have a slow start at the beginning and not rush as hell if teams are not balanced because people are still joining
- If this doesn't work I might need to distribute those guys (at least with that playerbase in the current round).
Under normal circumstances with balanced Teams, i would never complain thst being a rush. But with that playerbase i thought you would be more sensitive regarding the Situation.

Re: Joint Operations Map Discussion
So it was unbalanced because you didn't have organized squads? Is that problem in skill level or that you guys didn't even try. I am sorry but it felt like the last one[KSK]Eichhoernsche hat geschrieben:Well dude, amazing how you even strenghten my point - our Team sucked because we had one squad building 3 fobs (mine..) and 2 other 4 ppl pubbie squads basically doing nothing but getting raped in as soon as you arrived with 2 coordinated duck squads.Friado hat geschrieben:Well that is bullshit. Re: Joint Operations Map Discussion
The first round of three is always going to involve moving people around, especially as they join the server so that we have some semblance of balance. Which is exactly what happened on Asad Kahl. The start was not much fun for Hamas, but by the time the server was full it was evening out. The issue was balance and teamwork more than rushing IMO. Naturally the ducks (and associates) are usually the largest group, so if needs be can be moved around. We should have some admins on that can quickly organise who to move.
The issue this week was the opposite, the event started early, (which is understandable because having the server seeded is always a good thing). But it means lots of clan guys, who are usually the force behind unbalancing, are going to be joining mid-round with no appreciation of how the balance has been working earlier. The German side on Silent Eagle had a pretty bad time of it for lack of decent asset players, with most of them being wasted before we could warn/kick the people one-manning them. My squad and I didn't even hang around after that for ghost train.
So yes we can work on balance and all the ducks should be willing to help with this. But the issue isn't rushing, it's clan balance causing problems in co-ordination and decent asset use, as well as starting the event early. The problem being, as with Saaremaa last week, it's hard to tell from the other side if the enemy team isn't building FOBs, communicating etc. I assume that why the admins have a means of talking to each other

Anyway.... for next week:
Muttrah (choose layer)
Dragon Fly Ins Inf
Burning Sands (choose layer)
I'd be happy with that, not too green, stuff for inf, stuff for asset players. Nice suggestions, other thoughts?
Cheers, Murkey.

Re: Joint Operations Map Discussion
I would go for Burning STD just to have at least one Map with more Heavy assets. I would go for Qwai STD as a Server filler/First map, since Muttrah is overplayed IMO, not a bad map but it is getting played so often ...

Re: Joint Operations Map Discussion
Muttrah is being overplayed in other servers. NEW server is being filled with people around 17:00-18:00 PRT and after that only 4-5 maps are being played until server becomes empty. I play pretty often and I rarely see Muttrah being played on NEW. Also, you can change the experience players get by selecting rarely played layout.
If you really don't want Muttrah, I'd suggest Black Gold AAS Inf for some dirty battles and lots of action in the city.

I like Abchaz's suggestions. Dragon Fly could be fun to play.

Re: Joint Operations Map Discussion
Nice, looks like we're getting somewhere!
Muttrah AAS LRG - less commonly played layer, familiar like an old pair of boots so we can fill the server. We've certainly had Qwai a couple of times more recently compared to Muttrah
Dragon Fly INS INF - Been a while, should be good
Burning Sands AAS STD - More assets and fun for the whole family.
Any final thoughts? Will Muttrah LRG then a round of INS take too long so people will not stick around for Burning Sands?
Cheers, Murkey.
