[FEEDBACK] KitGlitching

Hello dear fellows,

today was another day where I spotted an [new] guy glitching via the kitdrop-function.
Then he tried to get away to cover this phenomena...

I don't call any name, I'd like to share my toughts with you.
Your ruleset says, that glitching is forbidden at all. Now that is a kind of a glitch too.

I tried to reach K4on or BloodyDeed in Xfire, someone of them wasn't there, can't remember whom I talked to. Anyways, he suggested me to open a thread on newcommunity.eu about this matter.
That's what I've done so far.

Now the question is, do you accept this rule-breaking behaviour?
If no, you'd better pick this "no unarmedkit-parachute" up and throw in on your rule board.
To get this straight.

This is just my opinion and a suggestion to you guys. It is not my goal to offend you guys.

Cheers,
Cloud

PS: Some of the 3rDACs can approve this case. They were almost next to this guy.

The player in question was sniping at the top of a wraparound building and when our squad moved up the stairs to engage he jumped down from the top level to avoid being killed (unfortunately for him I was waiting below with a MP5).

Generally pretty lame behaviour, doubly so because someone was shooting at him. Quite a lot of servers perm-ban for it.

Hey guys,

First of all, thank you for your feedback - however inconvenient it might be to us, it is always best if you come directly on our forum or on the TS to discuss matters like this.

In general the usage of bugs is against our server rules, so I personally think this type of "parashoot" is prohibited aswell. But as I can not make rules on my own I will immediatelly start a discussion in our admin forums to make the situation cristal clear and decide what sanctions this action will cause on our servers in the future (as we never had this issue there is no set of actions to take - and we like clear "checklists" so all of our admins stick to the same).

And you are absolutelly right, the [new]/[NEW] guys should stick to the rules at all time (and not only stick to them, but be an example of teamplay oriented fair players), and I will definitelly talk about this on our next monthly meeting (to the community in generall, as I don't know, and don't want to know who was it - but next time I spot this kind of behaviour I will take an appropriate counteraction :aufsmaul: ).

P.S.: Blip: jumping down from a roof (as a death sentence) is sometimes nececarry (if you can't defend yourself, and this way you do your team good - for example as a civi: jumping is only 2 IP for the enemy, if they arrest you it's 10), and not unrealistic. With a weapon of course, it's another matter. Here I was talking about hitting the ground normally - no dropkit, just *splat* *dead*

See you on the server,
Cawac

To be honest, it was me (Spotter, Burning Sands).
I usually don't do it except for pure fun (Speak: When not even remotely in a combat situation).

In short, while I was blaming / enraged with myself for even opening fire at a full sq ( ), my reflex kicked in way before I was able to think logical again :headwall:

I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience!

@Cawac:
I don't think there is any need to discuss this, it was clearly wrong.

See you on the Server

First of all, I do appreciate that you came out with it. It was indeed wrong, but I can only blame you because you were not acting like one of our members should - but you did not break any rules. Everyone make mistakes - the important part is to learn from them.

The discussion I started is about the future handling of such actions, but whatever the outcome may be, it can not and will not affect you in this situation, as we make the rule AFTER it happened.
I however feel it necessary after a precedence - so we can handle such actions in the future.

yep, ... "nullum crimen sine lege" ...

for public: we are discussing this subject in our intern forum atm and there will be a change of our rules in consequence of this discussion's conclusion.
