Summer PW-nights

Güten dagen mein German friends!
This spring we've fought quite a lot together and it's been good fun. For the summer 3rdAC won't be as active with proper battles – our focus is beer, boobs, beaches and stalking Curry – but we do wish to have some level of organised play; preferrably organised play without the organisational jazz. My solution is simple and quite like the TG pw-nights.
3rdAC, R-COY, and NEW – along with more people we know if we don't fill 32 players – band together on a passworded server. We fill up one side completely with awesomeness of good people, good communications, proper structure; all that is needed for a organised battle.
The other side is filled in the same fashion by an opponent. Right now I am in talks with PRTA and they are very eager of filling the opposing side each weekend. We get both teams on the server, and first then we decide the map we are going to play. Then we play it for fun! You play like it was on a regular public server, but you do it with everyone you know, love, and cherish! You have a proper structure with commander and SLs actually communicating and forming a plan. In – Real – Time!
We skip all that preplanning. We skip all that with us trying to find enough numbers (We just grab everyone we can find!).
It will be the epitome of organized pubbing.
You guys like this idea?

Yes, to be honest Im working on some concepts myself, I already talked to your fellow mate Onil,
unlucky, I was/am busy with work and other personal stuff.
My gerneral Idea was a regular Event with expierenced players.
I wanted to start these Events with something bigger, but I think you are right, in the summer, we dont have so much players, so we put these special Events on hold (already have a plan for some scenario fights, historical battles, CnC-Night, Vehicle Warfare, etc.) and start with just some nice maps, good player, a password and a lot of fun.
Bloody already promised me his support concerning server related stuff, so it should be no problem to set up a server (more than 64p is possible afaik).
Im working on "what map do you like to play"- survey right now, so even it was meant to be used for our main server, I think it can be for good use for this project.
So if you or your mates have any ideas/wishes concering this project or even want to take over some tasks (publicity/promotion, making banners/photos/posts for the PR/NEW/3rdac/etc forum.) feel free to post it here or write me pn in this or your board.
Best Regards
DoRn
Edit: I think the first of July would be a good date to start this party

As it looks now I am working together with Mineralwouter of PRTA to organize this. He's organizing the PRTA side of things so to say.
I will make a poster and announcement (mainly for PRTA's side) next week I think. After that we can prolly start the 30th of June or 7th of July (if we run Saturdays).
I will not be around to actually play, as I am going to the UK for a month, but I will be available to organize it on forums and whatnot. I figure that maps should be chosen on the spot. Each team can give 2 proposed maps or so, and then you vote amongst those 4 maps. You can probably even play two or three maps in one evening.
Poster for the general announcement is something I am tinkering with as we speak, it should be done this weekend and ready for an announcement next week. Thus far everything is looking good, we have servers from PRTA and NEW (I think?) so we pretty much need to stake out rules, inform people, and set a date. Then we roll this thing away!
I have propsed some simple rules for these PW-nights.
1. No mortars in DOD.
2. No baserape.
3. No rushing the enemies first flag.
4. No allchat.
5. No racism/sabotage against your team.
6. Follow your SLs orders. SLs follow COs orders.
7. Mumble required.
8. No pre-planning; maps are decided on the spot.
9. CO and admins are responsible for their respective teams.
10. Admins retain the right to kick people disturbing the gameplay and teamwork.
11. No intentional roadkilling.
We do need a admin list so we have a bunch of admins on each side that can monitor everything. I suggest our regular SLs etc. should have that. Which in turn means that if we are using PRTA servers, I might need some of your hashes, and the other way around with PRTA/3rdAC people for the NEW server.

Sorry Age I didn't aswer you PM previously, I am rather busy atm.
I find your idea great, and we even have some hashes of 3dAC - the deputy admins (Blip, Rusty, Kilo, etc).

IF we play on our server, there will be our ruleset and only our admins.
So i'd prefer to play this event else where.
PS: Got another idea about that:
Maybe we can setup another server with a different name, then we can adjust the rules as you want and add some more admins.

Guess we have enough resources, but it is about BD.
BTW: WE NEED A GOOD NAME FOR THIS EVENT!

Isn't that what DoRn was talking about?
Of course we can set up another server apart from our main one.
Even though >64p isn't an option, either way we use PRTA's or our server.
